Let's Get Eli Home

Our beloved three year old cat Eli has had an unfortunate turn of events. After slipping out of the house Saturday night, Eli returned Sunday afternoon seriously injured with a huge gash on his back. The exact cause is unknown. We rushed Eli to vet where he eventually got his wound cleaned and stitched up. We were hoping for a speedy recovery but instead things took a turn for the worse. Instead of feeling better, Eli has entered a state of sepsis, which means, a bacteria has entered his blood stream and is wreaking havoc on his entire body. Septic shock in animals almost never has a good prognosis but we have hope that Eli can make it out OK and back home to his loving family. We have already invested a couple thousand in his hospitalization and care thus far but are nearing the end of our funds. Unfortunately, Eli is still in very critical condition and so we are asking our friends and family to help us in any way they can. There is no promise that Eli will make it home but we will be damned if we dont try.
