We need your help to bring Tracy and her two boys back home to Ontario, she has been told she can file for what is called an "ARC" (Authorization to Return to Canada) but there is a fee of $400 CAD. As her story states she currently has no money and the United States Government is unwilling to help her as one of her boys is solely a Canadian Citizen. Our government let them down and I am seeking your help to bring them back so that we may fight for what is right. I am seeking to raise $1000 to cover the cost of the ARC as well as extra help to cover a room for them to stay in until the forms are processed. They have no family in the US and all of their supports and family are here in Ontario. Please if you can spare 5-10$ it all adds up. My name is Tracy and I have two young boys that are currently with me as well as partner and two step children waiting for us to return. We have been living in a small town in Ontario now for about 5 years. I am technically a US citizen but my oldest son holds dual citizenship and my youngest son is a Canadian as their father is a Canadian citizen. I filed and paid for my Spousal Sponsorship for Landed Immigrant Status in 2012 and I have the receipts to prove this. Over the course of the time I was waiting for this paperwork to go through Immigration Canada misplaced my paper work and I was called on by an unknown person who reported me being in the country of Canada illegally and my receipts as proof I filed the paperwork were not sufficient enough to maintain a status in Canada. I was contacted by a woman from the border who requested a meeting and at this meeting I was told I had to leave Canada by August 15th 2017 or face a warrant for my arrest and criminal charges which would ban me from Canada for life. I am not allowed to return to Canada for one full year. This was not a deportation but a 1 Year exclusion order despite having a sponsor. I am heartbroken as my boys and I are stuck just on the other side of the border in Alexandria Bay area with no family, no housing, and no money. I tried to obtain help from the US side in terms of a shelter and I was told that my youngest son is not entitled to a bed as he is Canadian.
I am not one to ask for handouts and I strive to do the best I possibly can for my family. Right now I need to admit that we really need your help to get back to what we call home. If you can please share my story to anyone you think that may be able to help. I will attach a template letter to be sent to all of the political parties that could potentially offer help.
