Valerie & Chuck

While traveling to celebrate 30 years of marriage, Chuck & Val’s commercial kitchen caught fire on November 10th. Thankfully, none of the employees were working and no patrons were in the park at the time, so all are safe! But the kitchen and hub of their business was destroyed. The expense of rebuilding and downtime for repairs are taking their toll on the business and on employees who can’t work this holiday season.

While too proud to ask for help themselves, close friends are asking on their behalf. Chuck and Val are well known, not only for their tasty dishes and creative sauces, but for their own willingness and generosity to help others, support local causes and feed First Responders.  ResQ BBQ, since its inception, has always extended the hand of support to those around them.  They have been extremely generous to our family, as well as many others!

The Meyer Family, their employees and the extremely loyal customer base would appreciate any and all of the love and support you have to offer them during this unfortunate time.

(ResQ BBQ is a family owned and operated catering company whose roots have dug deep into the Loudoun County community. Owners, Chuck and Valerie Meyer, built their business with a true commitment to their vision, customer satisfaction and endless hard work. It all began with a gift of a small backyard smoker one Father’s Day and Chuck’s passion for smoking meats was immediate. He began cooking for family and friends every weekend, with plenty to go around. Five years later, with the help of the same family and friends, the Meyers became known as “the BBQ Family”. As a result, they now run a full-time and well-respected business in the community, catering events as small as HS team meals and as big as weddings, all while operating a ResQ Grille at Evergreen Sportsplex on the outskirts of Leesburg.

Chuck, Owner and Pitmaster, spent 13 years as a volunteer Firefighter when he lived in NJ, which is where the name ResQ (Rescue) came from. His company now supports himself, his wife Valerie and their three children, as well as, its 25 employees; which range from local HS students to parents and everything in between.)
