Let's Help (Joe) Uncle Joe Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.  Galatians 6:2

The Simms family is asking for your help with the financial burden of Joe's fight against cancer. His positive and uplifting spirit has always been his gift to his family, friends, and anyone else who's ever met him. We want to make sure he is able to continue sharing that gift.

Husband/Father/Grandfather/Veteran/Brother

Joe was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of 2017.  His first Chemo was in October of 2017. His last Chemo treatment was in June of 2018.

He was in remission until January of 2019, when the cancer returned. He has had 4 Chemo Cycles since February of 2019. He had a PET Scan on June 5, 2019 at Tulane Hospital. The results will determine if a 5th Chemo Cycle is necessary.

A Stem Cell Transplant is what the Lymph-node Pathologist is hoping for next.

A veteran, he was in the Navy from 1969 to 1972. He was stationed in Scotland on the USS Canopus AS34.  He was Honorably Discharged at Alvin Calendar Naval Base.

Joe is a 1968 Graduate of St. Augustine High School, where he enjoyed playing on the football team. He worked at Shell Oil Co., and Chevron Chemical Co., where he retired after 32 years of working in the Oil Industry. He attends Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Lacombe, where he is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10645.

Any amount you could give would be greatly appreciated. If you're not in a position to give financially, please help by sharing on social media.

Thank you and God bless.
