About Resurgent Church
Resurgent Church was launched 18 months ago by Andrew and Vanessa Hoyes, their four daughters and a group of 11 Aussies who came to pioneer a new life-giving church in Montreal, Quebec.

They moved to this city not knowing a single person, and were welcomed via the power of social media the moment they arrived. 6 months later with a brand new team of 100 people, $150,000 raised from friends all around the world, they launched Resurgent Church Downtown.

In the last 18 months this church has grown to a thriving, multi-cultural, multi-generational church making Jesus and His Church front and centre of people's everyday life. Over 600 beautiful people would call Resurgent 'home'. People gather as lost or found; black, white or any gorgeous skin colour, tribe and tongue in between; in need or prospering; in valleys or on mountain tops; lonely or connected .. and they grow in community here. They give with crazy devotion of their gifts, talents and the grace on their life... and then they go change their world bringing this resurgence into every sphere of their society.

So we want to do it again. The people have spoken 'Encore encore..'

Let's do it again in a location that suits who we are right now. We are a multi-lingual community that is unifed by our English language (until our pastors learn to speak French!) So let's do it again where the opportunity is... to the WEST ISLAND and surrounding suburbs. 1 million english speaking people in a 30 minute radius out of the city.
