LESLIE & JONAN'S HONEYMOON

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jonan.  I recently asked Leslie to marry me and she said YES!

I am asking for help with both our wedding and honeymoon.  I want to give her the best wedding/honeymoon possible.  To understand why, I would like to share a bit about Leslie and who she is to me.

Leslie was diagnosed with a heart disease when she was about 6 years  old, too late to do anything about it, she needed a heart transplant right away.  She patiently awaited the next 8 years for her perfect heart, finally at the age of 13 after 3 nights of praying she received a call, her heart had arrived. years went on and her heart struggled to accept her body, but she kept her faith. suddenly years later when she was 20 she started to feel bad as she is describing to her father how she was feeling, she passed out, in a coma and on life support.  Her body had begun to reject the transplanted heart.  Doctors did what they could (so they say), however, they had little to no hope.  They told her dad she would not live and were asking permission to pull the plug.  Her father fought with the hospital and kept her on life support.  She awoke almost 30 days later.  She was alive, however, something was wrong.  Her kidneys were not functioning.  She already had a transplanted heart, now she needed a kidney. the next years ahead she would have to live her life hooked on to a machine, (dialysis) a machine that would filter her kidneys and keep her alive.

This is where I come in.  I actually met her online.  I don't know who to credit, Facebook or Words with Friends.  I started to play her on Words with Friends, but from a list of friends from Facebook (I didn't actually know her, not sure how we were friends on Facebook).  The games were competitive and we played quite a few against each other.  The game/app has a window to chat with who you are playing and we began to chat.  She was definetly a cool chick and I wanted to meet her in person, so we set up a date and we met.

Most people I talk to about our relationship say they couldn't have done what I did.  I met someone with a heart transplant, in dialysis awaiting a kidney transplant and continued to befriend, eventually dating and falling in love.  However, I saw way passed that.  I saw someone, that no matter what they have been through, has such a great attitude towards life.  Wants to live life and live it to the fullest.  I met someone who not only wanted to do more with their life, but looked to help and push others to not give up on their dreams and to never look back.  She is a trooper, by every definition.  She does not give up and does not allow anyone around her to do so.  Those a characteristics I admire and I found I really needed in a partner.  She also cooks really well lol!

Since we've met she got her kidney transplant.  She's back in school (medical school because of how much she enjoys helping others get through their own situations) and she also works, she does not like to feel like she needs help with anything, she is very independent.  It's not only her life that has gotten better.  I have grown so much since she entered my life.  She has pushed me to be much more of a responsible person.  I am the man I am today because of her influence in my life.  She sees the potential in me and has allowed me to truly see it within myself.  I know that many, if not all, of her friends feel the same about her.  She is truly a magnificent person and is deserving of the best.

However the life of a double transplant patient requires many trips to the doctor, expenses, time off of work, and co-payments to medical  bills, everyday is a struggle to maintain herself healthy and have the perfect levels doctors want, this is where the donations come in.  any little amount will help.

I only wish the best for her, since I met her she has wanted to travel through Europe (mainly Greece) and I would love to take her there for our honeymoon.  She does not care for a big extravaggent wedding, she would rather we spend the money on a trip through Europe and I would like to give that to her.  Please help me make this AMAZING human being a little bit happier, for she has made me and others VERY happy!

Thank you.
