Leslie Collins mother to 7 children

Leslie Collins (46) was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in March 2014, two months after the birth of her 7th child Ellisen. After her diagnosis, Leslie began 13 intense rounds of chemotherapy over several months. Leslie had a great response to the initial rounds of treatment. In the summer of 2015 her cancer came back and another round of chemotherapy was given, unfortunately it had spread to her liver and bones. A blood test in December 2015 showed that the tumor in her liver had grown, and one last chemo treatment was given to Leslie on December 22nd 2015. On January 6th 2016, it was decided that Leslie would not continue treatment. Leslie passed away on January 14th 2016 leaving behind her beloved husband Doug of 15 years and their seven children: Matthew 13, Cameron 11, Cortland 10, Christian 8, McClain and McKinley 5, and Ellisen 2. Leslie was surrounded by her loving and caring husband Doug, her brother Tony Nickelsen, her 7 amazing children and friends. All funds raised will help provide care for Leslie and Doug's seven children. Leslie and Doug are truly grateful for the love and support they have received over this difficult time in their lives.
