Leonard's surgery
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Leonard. I am two years old and went through a major traumatic experience today (January 3, 2019).
A couple days ago my mommy noticed that I was having trouble peeing so she took me to the doctor. She didn't expect it to be too serious. The doctor said I had crystals in my bladder. Mommy still wasn't super concerned, they said they could fix it by inserting a catheter. Mommy had to leave me at the doctor's office overnight, I was very scared. Mommy got a call from the doctor this morning. It wasn't good news. They needed to do surgery on me to break the crystals down so I could pee normally. The doctor of course gave mommy a "worse case scenario". Grandma was a mess, but mommy tried to stay calm and rational with the doctor. I went in for surgery early in the morning, it ended up taking about 3 hours. The worst case scenario happened. See, I was born with a genetic mutation that makes it hard for me to pee in the first place. With these crystals in my bladder, it's almost impossible to pee. So the doctor had to cut off my boy-part (I was already neutered). I am now in the hospital at least over the weekend. Mommy is allowed to visit me and came to see me today. I saw her but dont really remember much of her visit because I'm on lots of pain medicine. I remember her saying that she wishes she could pay for my surgery without having to ask grandma for help. I know mommy does the best she can to take care of me. She's 22 and has me and my fur-sister Penny to raise. Any amount you can donate will help my mommy. Thank you!
