In the early morning of April 26th, 2018 our friend and team member – Caroline Cadrin, her husband Paul and son Zacharie had their lives change dramatically when the SUV their eldest son was driving smashed into a tree in Holyrood. Now to their disbelief their son Leo is clinging to life at The Stollery Children’s Hospital. Originally reported as serious but stable condition by the media, Leo’s condition has taken a few turns for the worse. Leo’s lists of injuries are many. Too many, in fact, to list.
Each day of the last week Leo’s family has been delivered additional bad news of more injuries, trauma and infection. Leo has now undergone 3 surgeries as the amazing Dr’s and nurses at the Stollery Children’s Hospital have worked tirelessly trying to repair all of Leo’s damage and bring him to a more stable condition. Leo has not yet come to and although there are marginal improvements, he is still not out of the woods. The extent of his brain injury is still unknown and therefore his family is unsure of what recovery could look like.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
No one can really imagine the magnitude of such an accident unless you have experienced something similar yourself. Caroline and Paul have been by Leo’s side since the moment they got the terrifying call and plan on being there as long as they can. But what does that mean for them? It means they have had to leave their jobs for now, it means life still carries on in the outside world.
We are asking for your support to help them with everyday expenses while they are not at work, as well as the out of ordinary expenses of supporting their incredibly sick child.
WHAT WILL THIS MEAN

We wanted to set up this campaign because we know there are lots of people who want to help but often don’t know how. We hope this gives people a means to do something good for amazing people who really don’t need the stress of the outside world right now. Please give what you can. The family has expressed that if Leo passes away donations will be given to Tourettes Canada and The Stollery Hospital.
