Lenie's brain surgery

Hi everyone, this is John Carlson,
I am raising money for my friend Lenie.
She lives in the Philippines and she has an AVM in her brain or Arteriovenous Malformation.
An AVM can cause a stroke, severe headaches and eventually possible death. She is in need of surgery to remove the AVM or close off the artery that is causing the bleeding in her brain.
Lenie is only 25 years old and already suffers from severe headaches. She had to drop from school because she couldn't focus with the pain. She suffered a minor stroke at the age of 21 where she spent 2 months recovering.
Lenie is one of the most amazing courageous human beings I have ever met.
She's full of life and embraces every moment with love and laughter. It shows in her eye's and when she smiles its infectious and everything around her is brighter!
She knows that one day she may not wake up because of her condition or be disabled or worse if the next stroke is severe enough. She does not feel sorry for herself or has ever complained about her issues.
To her every moment is a gift and treats it as such. A lesson she has taught me and a lesson we all should learn.
The world would be a much sadder place without her smile, presence and beauty.
Please help me to help her get through this and get the treatment she deserves so she can continue to grace the world with her love and energy.
I am asking for help from anyone that is willing to donate no matter how small the amount. Every little bit counts.
The AVM is deep and I would love to bring her to the USA for the surgery. But its so much more expensive ($60-80,000 barring no complications)
I worry she may suffer another stroke waiting to raise the extra money as well as the Visa issues she may face to come to the US.
So we have consulted with a very good neurosurgeon in the Philippines and decided to have the surgery done there. Aside from being less expensive she has family support as well which is just as important as the surgery.
We need to get an MRI soon!
So we can see if the AVM has grown and would like to schedule the surgery as soon as possible after the doctor reviews the results.

There will be travel expenses as she lives in a small town and the Surgeon is in Manila. It will require some of her family to travel as well. We are hoping to raise enough for her surgery, travel expenses, recovery, rehab. and provide her with the means to support herself until she's well enough to work again.
So again, Please help her to get well.
I would be eternally grateful to all of you if you can help us make this happen.
And I know Lenie would be overwhelmed with the chance to live without fear of a stroke to be healthy and give a thousand times back to you all with love and gratitude.
