Help for the Lendvay's

$24,790 of $25,000 goal

Naomi Lendvay, the daughter of Skippy (Kim) and Vanessa, was recently admitted into hospital after experiencing severe leg pains.  It was then determined that Naomi has a significant tumour in her abdomen that is the cause of the pain.  The doctors attempted to remove the tumour but were not able to because of its location and size. Naomi will be receiving chemotherapy to shrink the tumour and the doctors will perform another surgery to remove it. It has been determined that the tumour is cancerous but a detailed treatment plan will not be made until the full pathological results come back. Naomi has already been in the hospital for 10 days and is expected to remain in hospital for quite some time.  We are asking to support the Lendvay's  in any way possible as they begin this challenging journey.
With love and prayers on behalf of all of Skippy's and Vanessa's friends.

Over the past few weeks Naomi has been able to spend some time at home. On Wednesday July 29th Naomi was readmitted into the hospital in order to receive a new chemo treatment that was administered for 5 days in a row. The treatment plan has changed from a 42 week plan to 54 weeks in total including radiation that will begin in a few months time. During the course of treatment, Naomi has had 2 blood transfusions and you are all encouraged to donate blood as another way of support. Naomi will be allowed to stay at home and will receive chemo once a week on an outpatient basis. She will also be given a chemo drug that is given 5 days in a row that will occur six times over the course of her treatments. During these treatments Naomi will need to be in the hospital.
Vanessa will be staying home and not working for the whole treatment period while Kim will take time off as needed. A huge thanks to all who have supported with thoughts, prayers and donations! The fundraising has been a huge help! Some of the purchases so far include $500 for a wheelchair, $500 for a wig, $400 for a hospital grade thermometer and $240 per month for parking passes over the next year. Please continue to keep Naomi, Lauren, Isaac, Kim, Vanessa and their extended family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue on this journey.

Naomi has started the treatment plan as of Thursday. She will be receiving chemotherapy and sporadic radiation for the next 42 weeks and the possibility of surgery. If everything goes as planned there is a chance Naomi may be able to return home in August and continue treatment as an outpatient. Please pray for the success of the treatment and continued strength for the family.
