The Fire Within Poetry Book
Donation protected
The Fire Within poetry book is inspired by my experiences as a refugee in Ethiopia and as a child that was raised in Canada. The poems address many topics such as a race, feminism, poverty, war and education.
As a child growing up bilingual and in a multicultural society, I use writing to communicate with others. What I couldn't express in words I wrote. The book will be in two languages. English and Thok Naath a South Sudanese language. Everyday a language dies. When that language dies, the indigenous culture is in jeopardy.
As a way to celebrate multiculturalism in the world this book will be an asset to the global community. I am asking my friends, family and the international community to support me in my journey to publishing my first poetry book. The funds raised will cover the publishing, advertising, marketing, and translation fee.
