Leicester Athena vs. Tough Mudder

We are Leicester Athena Volleyball Club, and we are a local volleyball club within Leicester City Centre, who currently have 2 levels of teams - 1 in the Leicestershire Local league team, and the other in the East Midlands Regional league team. As of next year, we will have these 2 teams along with a team competing in Division 3 of the National Volleyball League. We have only been a club for 2 years, but are currently very successful in terms of active club members which is the need for our growth into the national volleyball league.


For the first time, we are participating in the Midlands Tough Mudder on the 12th May 2018 in order to raise money for the Family Fund charity, who provide grants to families in order to help  care for disabled children, as well as raising money for our own club. Total funds raised will be split equally between our club and the Family Fund charity, so the more we raise, the more we can donate!

This is the start of our yearly charity fundraiser, which happens at the end of the volleyball season each year, in order to help local charities that are close to our club members' hearts. We want to continue this project every year, beginnning with this year!
