L.A. LEGGERS Bike Rack Gift - 26.2!

Due to the overwhelming success of last year's Leggers gift of a fountain and bottle filler to the people of Santa Monica, this year the L.A. Leggers are raising funds to install 26 bike racks at 1450 Ocean and up and down Palisades Park -- one for each mile of the marathon!

The Leggers Board has agreed to match donations from our members up to almost half the total, and the City of Santa Monica has agreed to install a set of the racks next to 1450 along with a commemorative plaque reading COURTESY OF THE L.A. LEGGERS. Other sets will be installed up and down the park near stairways so that cyclists can park and lock their bikes and walk down to the ocean. 

These simple "U" racks will be painted in park colors (Palisades green), and can each accommodate 2 or 4 bikes if they are parked and locked in tandem.
