Venice Sport and Culture is a cultural and sports association in Venice, Italy, whose mission is the promotion and organization of sport in all its forms, disciplines and levels, with particular attention to canoeing and nautical disciplines.
Founded in 2013 as an amateur sports association specialized in the sport of Canoe / Kayak, in 2017 it reviews the statute to widen the panorama of the services offered to its members both in the sports and in the cultural field; planning fun and educational activities aimed at the Venetian tradition as a whole.
Action:
The City of Venice has banned kayaks from the city, while allowing taxis and other large motorboats to roam free of limitations.
Not even the residents of the city are allowed to move around the canals by kayak.
The ban was introduced from one day to the other, without any kind of consultation with rowing clubs, kayak associations or other interested parties.
Venezia Sport&Culture is an officially recognised kayaking school in Venice, and together with Edu Kayak and Maestro di canoa Marco Ballarin, they have organised a legal recourse against the decision of the city administration, to be allowed to kayak in Venice again.
This campaign is aimed at raising funds to help associations cover the legal costs of the appeal, which will be over € 3,000.
The funds raised will be distributed to the associations so that they can cover the legal costs incurred for the appeal. Donors who can request a copy of the attorney's fee that will be sent to them privately.

Venezia Sport e Culture è un’associazione Culturale e Sportiva in Venezia, la cui missione è la promozione e l'organizzazione dello sport in tutte le sue forme, discipline e livelli, con una particolare attenzione per la canoa e le discipline nautiche.

Il Comune di Venezia con un'ordinanza specifica ha vietato la circolazione delle canoe/kayak nei rii della città, lasciando scorrazzare i taxi ed altre grandi imbarcazioni a motore liberamente.
Nemmeno i residenti della città possono girare più in canoa/kayak per i canali.
Il divieto è stato introdotto da un giorno all'altro, senza alcun consultazione con remiere, associazini od altre parti interessate.
Venezia Sport&Culture è una scuola kayak riconosciuto da FICK, ed insieme ad Edu Kayak ed il maestro di canoe Marco Ballarin, ha organizzato un ricorso formale al TAR Veneto contro l'ordinanza del comune, per poter girare di nuovo a Venezia in canoa/kayak.
Questa campagna è finalizzata a raccogliere i fondi per aiutare le asssociazioni a coprire i costi legali del ricorso, che saranno di oltre 3.000 €.
I fondi raccolti verranno distribuiti alle associazioni affinché possano coprire le spese legali sostenute per il ricorso. I donatori che ne possono richiedere una copia della parcella degli avvocati che verrà inviata loro privatamente.
