Leah Hargrove's story
Hello everyone. Meet delightful, little Miss Leah Hargrove of Centertown MO. Leah was born May 29 in Rochester MN, calling NICU home for her first 26 days. Leah arrived in our world with special needs. Doctors have described her as having the ‘rarest of rare conditions’, including cleft lip, orbital cleft palate, total nasal occlusion, and visual impairment. One of Leah’s eyes did not develop and the other has a hole in the optic nerve. With the latest technology and skilled, gifted physicians, most of her anomalies are correctable. Leah could use your help! Her future includes a series of major surgeries, the first of which is scheduled for August 21 in order to open her nasal airways, close her cleft lip and reconstruct her nose. Ophthalmologists will also examine Leah’s eyes while she is under sedation. Leah will soon sport a prosthetic eye, the first of several as she grows. With a temporary stay in Rochester near the Mayo Clinic, Leah is receiving weekly care as she prepares for surgery. Leah is with her mother and a family of angels, who have opened up their hearts and home. Please join us in supporting this little girl. Your contribution towards Leah’s medical and educational needs, including future enrollment in a school for the blind, would be greatly appreciated. You may contribute using the gofundme page or by mailing contributions directly to The Leah N Hargrove Special Needs Trust, % Central Bank Jefferson City, PO Box 779, Jefferson City MO 65102.
