Leah Smith visiting fund

£1,483 of £500 goal

Raised by 164 people in 4 months
2 weeks ago today, Leah Smith, a beautiful 21 yr old girl was involved in a life changing car accident.
At the time of writing this, Leah is still sleeping and her family remain by her bed side.
I ask people kindly to donate towards her family's daily travel expenses while she remains in hospital and also to Leah once awake in order to help her financially as she recovers.
This is going to be a long road to recovery and any help will be greatly appreciated during this time.
Her mother Tracy has been by her bedside everyday and unable to work since. This has put a huge financial strain on her ability to eat properly and provide for Leah's little sister Heather.
Please support them the best you can during this terribly worrying time.

Leah is coming on in leaps and bounds over the last week.
I was amazed and stunned by her progress on Sunday.
She smiled and laughed with us and waved at my grand Bubb.
She told us she didn't like her socks (typical Leah) and has asked us to take in some tinsel and fairy lights.
Her mum Tracy has been buying her some comfy clothes and a tablet so she can communicate a little easier.
What a fighter she is, and what amazing donors you all are, she was stunned when I told her all the donations she had received. So, so proud. Xx

What an amazing day!!!
I have spoken to Tracy, Leah's mum earlier and she is blown away by all the kindness. A huge thank you to her friends, family and her Utilita work family for your support.
Leah is still on icu and the doctors hope to remove her tracheotomy soon, now that she is less dependant on oxygen.
Altho tiring easily, basic hand gestures are still her method of communication and we hope her speech will return in due course.
Leah is still unable to move her left side, but with lots of physio we hope that will help.
Thank you again so much to everyone again you are all truly amazing people.

It has come to my attention that payments to this appeal are being marked by Go fund me as 'Holiday for the boys' this must be some sort of internal glitch.
I want to reassure you all that payments are going to Leah's family and are being used for their intended purpose.
We thank you for all you continued kind support at this time.

Thank you to all those that have donated so far.
After nearly loosing Leah last week, I'm so pleased to say she is doing incredibly well this week.
She is still unable to move her left side or speak but is making simple yes no hand gestures.
She is still on the intensive care unit and still very ill, but we continue to see small improvements daily.
With your donations, Tracy is now able to return from the hospital back home each day, meaning she can now spend time with her 10 year old daughter Heather and still be at Leah's bedside while Heather is at school.
Thank you again for your ongoing support during this time.
