LCAAHC Community Commercial Kitchen

Hello,
My name is Donnie Owens and I have lived the most of my soon to be 60 years in Laurel County, Ky, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, in southeastern Ky..
I am raising money for a project called the LCAAHC Community Commercial Kitchen.
It's purpose is to teach  the good people of this area how to preserve the foods they have grown through the Grow Appalachia Food program which teaches and aids young and old alike in the lost art of raising their own foods.  In addition, they can learn to prepare their foods to market both locally, regionally, and nationally.  This will also  enable the community members to earn some much needed money to better the lives of their families.
The city of London Ky, has donated a building that needed to be moved to another location. The Laurel County African American Heritage Center purchased the land and had the building moved to it's permanent location.
The building has been placed on it's permanent foundation, and the work continues by many volunteers.
The inside of the building needs remodeled, utilities, and the purchase of the required equipment, etc. Other than the small fees charged by go fund me, 100% of the donations will be used for this project.  I myself recieve no funds from this fundraising project, and have no access to the funds. All donations will be managed by the Laurel County African American Heritage Center who is doing this project for the community. The Director is Wayne Riley. Work is in progress now and donations are needed immediately so that it can be continued while the volunteers are available to help.
I am disabled due to a disease called generalized myasthenia gravis, a neuromuscular disease that leaves you so weak.  My wife was injured in an automobile accident in 2006 and is severely disabled.  Our social security is not enough to pay all the bills, medications, housing and living expense. We have also raised our grand daughter who is now 16 years old.
I am just above the line so I am unable to get foodstamps, and help like that.
I became accquianted with the folks at the Laurel County African American Heritage Center and it's director Wayne Riley and wife Salena through their Grow Appalachia Garden Program. This program helps people to be able to grow their own garden, either large like some people's or a tiny container and landscape garden like my own.  For several years now they have furnished me with some seeds and plants and fertilizer to grow very healthy fresh produce, and to obtain 5 chickens for fresh eggs, which you can not afford at the grocery when your are on a low income. You buy cheap high carb and high fat foods, cause it is cheap. Now you can understand why so many people in eastern Ky. are overweight, and have so many health issues.
I have watched and observed how they have helped so many families over the past years.  Wayne is a very skilled carpenter and could easily earn a good living for his family if he chose to do so, however he and his family choose to live on less than minimum wage for the hours of work they do. Wayne feels called to return to his hometown roots, and works tirelessly to help every person he can.
Earlier in the spring of 2016 vandals struck the Center painting racial graffiti everywhere. Naturally Wayne was upset when he got the call informing him, but by the time he got from his home out in the county to the center, he was calmed down and stuck to his belief that you overcome evil with love. Volunteers helped clean everything up, and Wayne is still overcoming evil with love by creating this Community Commercial Kitchen.
After all that I have saw as to how many people from all races, creeds, religions, and beliefs, etc. Wayne Riley and his work has gained my admiration and respect. I am so thankful for his help and friendship, and I would so appreciate if you could help in this project by making any donation, large or small, it all helps and goes to a very worthy cause.  I thank you for taking the time to look at this and I pray that my God blesses you, and this being from the bottom of my heart.
