My Legal Fees

I refuse to be silenced.

I was the CTO of Red Thread Studios, LLC (the Labyrinth Escape Games parent company), at least on paper.

I got treated horribly.
When Andrew Lind or Vincent Stevens were upset, they would yell and threaten physical harm. This happened multiple times.
Joking about committing gun violence were common.

Andrew would demand impossible deadlines from me, and then blame delays on me, even when I pulled 80+ hour weeks for months on end.
Andrew and Vincent were constantly sexist, homo- and trans- phobic.
I would get verbally berated for things completely beyond my control.
I provided careful and exact specifications for projects necessary to keep the company alive, and would more often than not get handed partial and broken and incorrect pieces when the deadlines were almost over.
Andrew and Vincent would lie to me about when deadlines were to try and get me to go into "crunch mode" and get things done faster.

I was the one who built all the tech in the first few rooms.
I hired the original tech team. I'm the one who set up the website and the company emails and...everything online and cloud based.
I spent thousands of dollars trying to pull the company up by its bootstraps. I advocated for health coverage and fair wages for employees.
I tried to get sound financial practices implemented to support company growth and help pay for better employee care.

Working at Labyrinth destroyed my mental and physical health, and in spring of 2017, I stopped being able to go into work.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, Andrew had stopped responding to communication from the board of directors, and once I was no longer involved in the daily activities of the company, I was locked out of everything without explanation.
In the six-ish months since, all of my efforts to re-establish professional communication have been met with excuses and delays and silence and accusations without explanation.

I'm an autistic individual with a communication disability.
To function, I need clear and direct communication.
When we started the company, it was with the understanding that communication with me would need to be different than with neurotypical indiviuals, but that I could be a huge asset to the company.
I was very clear about the functional and business limitations of my disability.
Right now, I can barely leave my house because of my health.

I spent six months trying to get actionable communication from Andrew and the company, to figure out what was going on or really *anything*.
No response except vague statements that decisions have been made in my absence and warnings not to "cause drama".

I tried for months to fix problems quietly and provide advance warning and a migration path and give multiple notifications of impending account termination.
They didn't even try to work with me when I provided three different migration paths.

On December 19th, after giving sending multiple advance notices of the impending termination, I suspended the account of Red Thread Studios LLC (DBA Labyrinth Escape Games).

Within just a few hours, I was recieving texts and emails attempting to get me to fix everything. This was followed by threats and attempts to emotionally manipulate me if I didn't comply immediately with their demands.  So far, they've mentioned "cybersquatting" and "financial damage to the corporation".

What they are doing is wrong.
I can prove that I did my absolute best to communicate and provide them with every possible resource to ensure a seamless transition.
But I am not a legal professional. I need someone to help me translate pages of notes and folders of screenshots and all of my records into something that will be presentable in court.

Please share this on social media.
Please tell your friends about what Labyrinth is doing.
Please call them and tell them you don't support their actions.
And if you can...if it's not going to hurt your finances...please contribute.

I can't afford a lawyer.

Please help me.
