Lauren’s Chiropractic Mission Trip!

Two years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to head to Zambia, Africa and volunteer for several months in an orphanage. I had always known I had a heart for missions abroad but it was this trip where God set a fire in my heart for missions and the people of Zambia.
Since starting Chiropractic school in the Fall of 2016, I have been creating and praying over a vision for my life. My vision is to open my own practice out of school and eventually take students on mission trips, specifically to Africa, to serve and share the Good News of Jesus and Chiropractic. I have had times of discouragement because I had never seen a doctor do this before, I didn’t know how the heck I was going to get there, and what it would look like. God faithfully placed Doctor’s in my life who were doing exactly that - taking students on mission trips and sharing the Gospel!
I have prayed and prayed over getting back to Africa to not only serve with chiropractic, but share the gospel with people around the world as is commanded in Mark 15:16 “ He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” God has answered prayers and the trip of a life time has been made available to me!
In March 2018, a group students and doctors will be heading to Ghana to serve with Dr. Chad Hawk through Epik Missions (http://www.epikmissions.com/)
Dr. Chad has established roots and trust within the community and I could not be more thrilled to be a part of this! We will be adjusting men, women, and children who may have never been adjusted before allowing their brains to be properly communicating with the rest of their bodies!!! When the brain is properly communicating with the body, there is less chance of disease, injury, and chemical imbalance from day to day living. The body is wonderfully made and has the amazing ability to heal.
God has placed Chiropractic in my life as an avenue to spread the Gospel and has fully equipped each one of us to do so through the Holy Spirit.
I have a God sized dream and I believe that He has placed this opportunity in front of me for a reason... to serve others like Christ did, allowing healing by laying of hands, to love the people of Ghana, and to know that this is possible when I am finished with school.
To make this trip possible I am asking for two things:
1. Prayer & 2. Financial help
Prayers that I place my absolute trust in the Lord, for the funds to be available, for the safety and protection of the team going, and for the people of Ghana. That they experience the radical love of Christ.
If you feel like giving is on your heart then any donation, small or large, would be more than appreciated! I cannot wait to see this adventure unfold and am grateful for all of you.
The money raised will cover all of the transportation costs (ground and air) all of our food, water, lodging, VISAs, licensure to practice, and malpractice insurance with the Ghana government in order to legally serve for the entire week.
