First of all, thank you to everyone who helped out with our last funding campaign.   It has been a busy year, and we were able to accomplish everything on our list, thanks to each of you and your generosity.  In the past year, we were able to purchase a full-size van and get a wheelchair lift installed, we hired an attorney to start up a special needs trust for Lauren, and we were able to purchase her portable concentrator, pulse ox, and suction machine which have all proven indispensable in helping with her nighttime care and out-of-town doctor appointments.   Meanwhile, Lauren was also able to finally get rid of her trach last year, and she completed one round of a specialized treatment called hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) with a pediatric brain injury specialist in New Orleans earlier this year.
