Laura's USA Deaf Tennis Fund

In the summer of 2013, my doubles partner, Emily Hangstefer, and I won a Gold Medal in Sofia, Bulgaria for the 2013 World Deaflympics. The Deaflympics is an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-sanctioned event in which all sports are performed by hearing impaired athletes. Teams from countries all over the world compete for Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals for their countries. Emily and I were able to win our first medal at our very first deaf event. Last summer, we competed in the 2014 Dresse Cup , in Chattanooga, TN and won a Silver Medal in Doubles again.
Each summer, deaf teams from all over the world travel to a different tournament to represent their country in hopes of returning with a medal. Unfortunately, the United States doesn't provide the funding for the athletes in the deaf community, so all athletes are responsible for the costs incurred to participate.
This summer, the World Deaf Tennis Championships tournament will be held in Nottingham, Great Britain. Would you consider showing your support for me and Emily? We would love to travel to England and win another medal for our team and our country!
