Mission Trip to Peru

Dear Family and Friends,
I am very excited to share this special opportunity with you. As some of you know I am currently completing my third year of classes with the Denver Catholic Biblical School. These classes have allowed me to strengthen my faith and my relationship with God. This summer the Biblical School is planning a mission trip to Peru; after prayer and discernment, I have decided that God is calling me to serve Him as a missionary in Peru this June.
On this mission trip we will be helping build physical structures for people in need, praying in community with them, and going on a pilgrimage to Cuzco and Machu Pichu. We will be working alongside the people we are serving and showing them the love of Christ through our labor. Our call as missionaries is simply to be available to serve in any way God asks of us.
You can take part in this mission, first and most importantly, through your prayers. I ask you to pray not only for my fellow missionaries and I, but also for the people we will be serving in Peru.
Second, I am asking you to prayerfully consider joining me in this mission financially. So far I have been able to come up with $1,000 towards the total cost but will need to raise $1,750 to cover all expenses. Please know that any amount you contribute will make a difference.
I also want to bring your intentions to Peru and pray for you during this experience. I will be attending daily mass and visiting the Shrines of St. Rose of Lima and St. Martin de Porres. Whether you are able to support me financially or not, please send me any prayer intentions you may have.

Les comparto con mucha emoción esta hermosa oportunidad que se me ha presentado. Como muchos de ustedes recordaran, actualmente estoy cursando el tercer año de la Escuela Bíblica Católica de Denver. Estas clases me han ayudado a fortalecer mi fe y mi relación con Dios. Este verano, la Escuela Bíblica está planeando una misión al Perú; en discernimiento y oración he decidido que Dios me llama a servir como misionera en el Perú este mes de junio.
En esta misión vamos a ayudar erigiendo construcciones para personas necesitadas, rezando con ellos en comunidad, y peregrinando al Cuzco y Machu Pichu. Trabajaremos hombro con hombro con el pueblo que nos toque servir, mostrándoles el amor de Cristo a través de nuestra labor. Nuestro llamado como misioneros es simplemente el de estar disponibles a servir de la manera que Dios nos lo pida.
Ustedes pueden ser parte de esta misión, primeramente, y lo más importante, a través de sus oraciones. Les pido que recen no tan solo por mis compañeros de misión y por mí, sino también por las personas a las que ayudaremos en el Perú.
En segundo lugar les pido que consideren, en espíritu de oración, unirse a esta misión a través de su apoyo económico. Hasta el momento yo he podido pagar $1,000, pero aun necesito recaudar $1,750 más, para completar el pago total. Por favor sepan que cualquier monto que puedan contribuir hará una gran diferencia.
También les comparto que quiero llevar sus intenciones al Perú, y estaré rezando por ustedes durante esta misión. Asistiré diariamente a Misa, y visitaré el Santuario de Santa Rosa de Lima y San Martín de Porres. Ya sea que me puedan ayudar económicamente o no, les pido que por favor me envíen sus intenciones.
