Laura has recently been hospitalized for an unknown heart condition.  Her story began when she had Travis, her second child in May of 2004. When she returned to work, she had developed an unknown allergy that would plague her for years.  She was in constant pain with this skin condition.  Fast forward to December 2015, she then suffered a stroke while working. The following year her skin condition became much worse, at times she was 95% covered in open sores, yet she continued to do hair through it all. She worked part-time, volunteered at school, made sure her kids wore the best costumes, planned spaghetti dinners, and fundraisers and tried to have a smile on her face.

March 2017 Changed everything, Steve was finally able to convince her to go to the ER, and they immediately admitted her. The week she spent there changed her life. She was finally diagnosed, her skin was clear, and she felt good. She told me she felt 25 again. She was ready for any task, and by the end of that week God called on her once again, a little girl was losing her mother. This just after she finally felt like a mother again herself. We all know how that story played out. The whole Beasley/Richardson family welcomed Kaleigh with open arms and 3 children turned to 4!

Laura has been out of K Bella more than she’s been inside. This is not only hurting her emotionally but financially too. Steve is trying to hold everything together with work and home, and he also needs to focus on what makes him happy too. He volunteers more than half his time I would imagine to the sport of Wrestling. He is on several boards across the State and also involved Nationally. He’s the head coach of one of the biggest and best youth teams in the area.

Their lives are full and I know they want for nothing, but they deserve more.

They still owe on some of the first medical bills, they both drive cars that aren’t safe and as a new driver (daughter McKenna) needs safe. But they make it together month after month.

But now, with this new development, Laura has no idea when she can return to work. I know she will eventually return because she always does, but most likely won’t be able to continue her current schedule.

Laura was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure. Only 20% of her heart is working, and they put people on the transplant list at 16%. She needs cardiac rehab and time to recover stress-free. I know she will be able to fight through this, I also know that she knows there are lots more hospital stays and possible operations in her future.

Please consider donating something so Steve and Laura can work on a stress-free recovery together, along with their new family of four McKenna, Travis, Rayna and Kaleigh.
