Larry & Goret Landslide Recovery
Donation protected
At 1 am on April 10, 2018 - Larry and Goret has the misfortune of experiencing a landslide. The mud took the vehicles and Larry’s work trailer down the hillside, and one vehicle was pushed through the wall of the house.
They were in the dark - without power and not knowing what had happened - but fortuneately neither of them or their dogs were injured.
Their vehicles are totalled. The wall of the house is damaged but thankfully the main structure was not compromised.
Turns out the house insurance did not provide coverage for landslides So they have to cover the repairs out of their own pocket.
As of 9 pm on Friday, April 13 they had only just gotten power restored. And now the massive cleanup begins.
Those of you who know this lovely couple remember the medical challenges they faced less than a year ago.
They are so grateful for the overwhelming support their friends and community have given them both last year and over this last week.
This is just one way to help them rebuild their home, property and get life back on track. As they figure out what needs to be done, manpower will also be appreciated.
Thank you very much for your kindness and compassion.
