Larger Cat Kennels

Tax deductible
Right now the Central New York SPCA has decided to make significant changes to the housing for our feline friends. Many of our cages are somewhat outdated and old, most are only 2 foot by 2 foot, leaving little room for the cats to stretch their legs. We wanted to improve the time that the cats are here, so after a bit of research and digging, we have decided to use these cat portals.

These portals will allow us to give the cats more room when our population is low by opening up the portals and giving the cats more cages to wander. Then if our cat population starts to climb, we can close the entrances allowing us to house the same number of cats we currently do.

Anyone that has visited the CNYSPCA knows that our cats right now are given a single cage, some bigger than others, but only one nonetheless. This old design means that unfortunately, we must have the cats litter box right next to their food, water, and bed. With these portals, during low population times, we can open the portal allowing the food, water, and bedding on one side and the litter box on the other side.

Please share this campaign and help us build better lives while they are housed at the shelter. We cannot do this without the incredible support of the public and people like you. Please donate and share.
