You are invited to our fundraising event this Saturday (Nov 24th) at BNA! An afternoon of delicious snacks, bowling, silent auction, raffles, prizes and more. Get your tickets soon and bring a friend to connect with. https://www.facebook.com/events/543657619438955/?ti=as . . . As you may have heard, the Lalonde family has received some bad news. Sean has just been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma, an advanced non-operable liver cancer. He is currently being treated at KGH where his doctors are working to manage his pain and to chart a course of action. As a pastor in our community, Sean, along with his wife Valerie and their five children, Jenna 16,  Millah 11 Lennon 9, Quinton 7, and Jovie 5, need help to make this Christmas season as normal as possible for the kids. In the event of a situation where doctors are saying that modern medicine cannot help him, the family may pursue additional holistic nutritional therapies. The costs associated with this are not covered by medical insurance, and there will be several different types of therapies that Sean will need to undergo.  We are raising the money to take pressure off the family financially during this difficult time and to provide support for maximizing the opportunities to beat this cancer. The money raised will be used in the following ways: -medical treatments and medication not covered by  insurance  -groceries  -childcare  -hot school lunches  -gas  -travel as required  -unforeseen costs In addition to giving monetarily. we are organizing meals for the family including dinners, kids school lunches, and snacks for the hospital; To sign up please visit:  https://mealtrain.com/z989g6 We are believing and praying for healing, we invite you to join and pray in agreement with that! Consider the Greek word sozo, which has been translated in the New Testament the following ways: Save or Saved. Whole. Healed. We are praying for a miracle so Sean will be made whole again. We thank you for supporting and showing your love a family who does the same for our community!

How fast times goes. Everyday has been a blur this year. “Peace” is my word for the year and Sean’s is “Victory”. Funny thing about choosing statements like these is that once you do, it really becomes very clear that this will not happen naturally. Especially when we are going into year two of battling terminal cancer. We are both tired and some days struggle to keep our thoughts straight. This is why I am so thankful that my peace is not determined by my circumstances, by others words, or opinions, but founded on my relationship with God. Since His love for me does not waver neither does my peace have too.

Thank you for continuing to support and share our story. We feel incredibly blessed.

Sean’s draining went well on Friday. Around 6 litres of fluid was drained. This relieved a lot of pressure but Sean has been having pain since the procedure. It has been pretty persistent for the week and this is so discouraging for Sean.

We’ve continued with his home program and he has been able to keep down all his supplements and do all his therapies daily.

Today we got some good news from our oncologist. After looking at recent bloodwork (from this past Friday instead of November) seans bloodwork has IMPROVED! This is unexplainable. It confirms for us that Mexico was and is helping! It would be so great for Sean to get back there soon.

Thank you for walking with us and helping us fight this battle!

Wait what? First post of this new year and believing for nothing short of complete healing and a total miracle.

THANK you!! If you’ve just started following our story today or have been praying since day one, if you’ve given meals, money, your time, your support all of it has brought us to where we are today. We are truly grateful.

We met with Sean’s oncologist here today and what an extreme difference from the clinic in Mexico. The short end was that he told us we need to have a reality check and realize Sean is on his way out! (He did make this statement with no recent bloodwork or scans but off Seans bloodwork from November)

No thanks! Science might say that, but I will let you know that Sean’s first scan showed that he had a 9in Tumour and countless others. The next scan showed it had shrunk and his most recent scan showed he had one. Scientifically this is impossible. Sean has stage 4 liver cancer a terminal cancer that cannot be reversed with modern medicine. But there are so many other things then modern medicine (which is great in other circumstances). We serve a God of miracles and also have met people in Mexico who were healed of their stage four terminal cancer. So what can be said to that.

Sean started his home treatments this week. Which consist of him taking pills (different natural remedies) and doing therapies from 7am till 11pm at night, 6days a week. I’ve got a chart and timers to make sure everything is being taken at the right time. Sean has also tightened up his diet which has really increased our budget on food costs. Doubling the cooking load as I’m cooking his meals separately since they are quite strict. On this diet he’s gained almost 30lbs which is another unexplainable for the doctor!!!!

Sean has been feeling ok since returning home. His energy/pain have been good but he is still getting a lot of fluid build up in his stomach. Tomorrow he is getting drained. I am praying and believing as he continues with his home program his liver will start to restore itself and this will be the last time he needs drainage.

The kids are all happy to be back at school except maybe Jenna, as grade 12 is a killer. We are planning to go back to Mexico in March and will be fundraising soon.

Today the doctors negative attitude just reminded me that Sean is not yet healed and we need to make sure to spend time together, make memories, and keep working towards the goal of complete healing. Thanks for fighting along side us. #lifeforesean

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful time with those near and dear to you. Sending love to those who were alone or are fighting their own battles this season. The holidays have a way of amplifying pain or hard times so please know you are loved and feel free to reach out if you need a hello or prayer.

We had a lovely Christmas. My dad and baby brother were here for 10days and it was really nice to spend time with them. They headed home yesterday. It was strange to be away from the rest of our friends and family but really great to have this time together.

It’s crazy it has been over a year since starting this page. Thank you for continuing to follow our story. For continuing to pray. For continuing to support. I know I’m growing weary of this battle but am so strengthened by all of you and your continued love. When we see how much love and support we have we can’t give up or quit. So we continue!

Sean had his last day of treatment at the Immunity Therapy Clinic. There have been quite a few of you who have asked where exactly we are. www.immunitytherapycenter.com here is the link.

We have bought the home kit which is about three months supplies of different pills, liquid tinctures, injections, and machines for different therapies. Our extra costs reaching well over $20,000 dollars Canadian.

Sean had his stomach drained today as he is still having fluid build up. He did share last week that his most recent MRI showed he only had one cancerous tumour where when we came he had three. What great news! He still has quite a lot of Cirrhosis but the doctors feel that within time some of this could start to heal as well. It has been crazy to see such improvement in such a small period of time. To be honest, I hadn’t expected to see the results we’ve had. Not only is his physical health better but mentally and emotionally Sean is in much better spirits. This place has really given us all a lot of hope and encouragement.

Tomorrow Sean is going for an endoscopic of his stomach. Before coming to Mexico Sean had one done because of varices in his stomach. The doctor in Canada was unsure how long the elastics would hold. This procedure is $1200 US dollars. But Sean would like to make sure nothing is wrong before heading out.

We are planning on spending a few days together before flying home. Sean has 10days off before having to start home treatment. With him going to the clinic everyday we are all much in need of some quality time together and want to celebrate how far we’ve come as a family!

A thrill of Hope a weary world rejoices.

This song lyric has been on my mind these past few days. We are weary but leaving with such Hope.
