Classroom Furniture Needed

Tax deductible

What we need:

We urgently need more furniture for our new classrooms and the growing student enrollment.

Lakota Waldorf School’s 1st phase construction of the new building was complete on February 20th, the students moved into their new classrooms, the excitement and joy was astounding.

Student enrollment is growing with the addition of 3rd- 7th grades at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year. With the increasing numbers the school needs more furniture for the classrooms.  We need desks, tables, chairs, material for chalkboards, lunchroom tables and chairs. Also shelving for the new classrooms and storage rooms.

To ensure all students have the tools necessary for their learning environment, all this equipment is needed to complete their new classrooms.

Who we are:
Lakota Waldorf School is a Non-profit organization, located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Our school focuses on combining Lakota language and culture with a Waldorf curriculum.

Language and Culture is implemented in the schools everyday life. It lives in the school’s daily rhythm from smudging with sage, praying in Lakota, feeding our ancestors (putting a little plate outside in honor of those who live in the spirit world), singing traditional songs, along with all the nuance of everyday Lakota conversational skills, orthography, and sentence structure.

Your support of our fundraising goal is so much appreciated.
