Fix Lake's Heart- Mission Possible

Donation protected
As Lake's aunt, I've watched this handsome young boy grow into a strong and capable man with the heart of a warrior and a life full of compassion. When we received the news that Lake had an irregular heartbeat at the tender age of 12, we were all shocked. As the years wore on, we witnessed as he faced multiple attempts to correct his *ventricular tachycardia through surgery all to no avail. His most recent *cardiac ablation  produced no results yet again. With a heart that beats over 70,000 times extra every 24 hours, it continues to run the risk of hurting the function of his heart. After three attempts to correct this, the doctor's at Children's Hospital Denver believe they have depleted all their resources.

Now as we press forward in pursuit of answers and healing, the decision has been made to go to the Children's Hospital in Boston where the most experienced doctors in the country practice.

Coming to this conclusion creates a slew of new emotions and hurdles to overcome. One being the financial aspect of such a large endeavor for an unknown length of time. There are plane tickets to be bought for Lake and his immediate family, hotel rooms to be paid for, car rental and food as well as any other unexpected expenses.

Lake and his family have been incredibly blessed by such supportive and loving friends, family and community. The goal is to continue to bless them by helping to raise the funds to make this trip as seamless and stress-free as possible.

Please feel free to contribute whatever you are able and know that your donations will help get him to the next level of professional help.

We'd also appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we move forward.

Thank you, we are so grateful!

*Ventricular tachycardia is a type of heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia) in which the lower chambers of your heart (ventricles) beat very quickly because of a problem in your heart's electrical system.

*Cardiac ablation is a procedure that can correct heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias). Ablation usually uses long, flexible tubes (catheters) inserted through a vein in your groin and threaded to your heart to correct structural problems in your heart that cause an arrhythmia.
