The Arrow Fund - Lad's Legacy

Lad's Legacy is a fund created to collect donations for a brick and mortar facility supporting The Arrow Fund, in memory of Lad. Lad, a Rough Collie, came to The Arrow Fund on February 10, 2014 from Daviess County, KY. He had been shot in his muzzle, and the lower half of his jaw was severely damaged. Lad was extremely underweight (only 41 lbs on intake) and was a 1 on a scale of 1 to 9, with 1 being the lowest possible before death. On June 10, 2014, after months of treatment, Lad crossed the Rainbow Bridge - but not before sharing his love and light with the world.
To honor his memory, The Arrow Fund would like to build or acquire a brick and mortar facility to support more animals in need of our care. The acquisition of the new facility would be a dream come true for us and for the many pets that we care for. It will allow us to house some pets; it will allow us to reduce our vet bills by moving the animals to the building – instead of boarding them – before they can go into a loving foster home; it will allow us to engage the public with our our pets; and so much more. In short, the building is a much needed tool that will improve our ability to help animals in need.

*Previous donations made with the intent to help us acquire a targeted location in July 2016 will continue to be placed towards fulfillinf our brick and morter dream. The facility would have been great, but through the Jefferson County Commissioner's Auction, we were not able to purchase that particular property.
The Arrow Fund is a Kentuckiana based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides medical treatment to animals who have been victims of extreme torture, abuse, or neglect.
