A Dream

I'm going to have to admit that this is not easy for me to do. I am a single mom. I work very hard at my day job to support myself and my son. The last thing I want to do is ask for financial help. Having said that, I have come to the realization that if I'm going to chase this dream, I'm going to have to put my pride aside and ask for some help.
I've dreamed of singing and writing for as long as I can remember. When I became pregnant with my son 6 years ago, I decided that I needed to put that dream behind me. After all, my love for my son goes far deeper than anything I could ever want for myself. Ironically, my son is the very reason I find myself here...asking for help in pursuit of OUR dream. I want my son to be fearless. I want him to believe in himself. I want him to follow his heart and do what sets his soul on fire. Whatever that is. How can I preach that if I'm not doing it myself? So, here I am.
These past several years have challenged me in ways I never could have imagined. I have learned that there are countless people who share similar heartbreaking experiences. It is my hope that my music can be healing and empowering for me and everyone who I share it with.
You are probably wondering why I need your help. I am trying to raise money for the studio musicians who will be a very important part of this music that I want to share with you. I have already teamed up with a very accomplished producer in Nashville. We have written 3 songs together that are very personal to me. No one has heard them yet. To be clear, I am not trying to raise money for the production. I only need financial help to secure these outstanding musicians.
I am so excited to finally get a finished product and to have the opportunity to share my heart and experiences with everyone.
