Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!!! Yipeeeee!!! This is so awesome! Stay tuned for updates...thank you so much, everybody!❤️ This is a great day for ❤️@luvabledogrescue!!!thank you so very much!

It is Pika's wish to celebrate her very first Gotcha Day in a big way. She is setting a fundraising goal of $10,000 for a new vehicle for Luvable Dog Rescue. A generous donor has agreed to match what we raise 1 for 1 so when we meet our goal we will have $20,000 to spend on a vehicle.

Luvable Dog Rescue is a Lane county based dog rescue organization. We have been in operation since 1999. In 2015, we finalized 317 adoptions. Our current dog transport van is not meeting our needs. In fact, it has two flat tires and does not currently run.

Quite simply our rescue needs a reliable vehicle, and here are some reasons why:

Our partner organizations use I-5 to transport animals and we must meet these trucks.

When we receive a new group of dogs, we quickly assess their needs. All our dogs are examined by vets, spayed or neutered and many need a professional grooming. Some of our animals need repeated visits to specialty vets.

We hold adoption events every weekend. The more dogs and supplies we can transport to the event the more dogs we can introduce to prospective homes.

In case of a wildfire or flood event we need to be able to quickly and easily evacuate all animals to a safe location.

We currently make at least 20+ trips a week into town to conduct the business of the shelter and we owe it to our dogs, volunteers and employees to have a safe, comfortable experience each time.

Our vehicle is is a symbol of our presence in the community. We will use the van to promote spaying, neutering and rescuing dogs. We will also celebrate the donors on the van itself.

This fundrasing blitz will be done on Feb 14th (Valentines day) and we expect to celebrate the van's arrival in Early March.

We are truly so thankful for our donors, people and dogs coming together to help other's find their Place, Pack and Purpose.
