Lakeland Art Association is a non profit organization that has been serving Kosciusko and surrounding counties in Indiana for nearly 60 years. We currently operate a fine art gallery located at 302 E Winona Avenue, Warsaw, IN. The gallery hosts monthly exhibits, promoting local artists, and also provides an informational presentation by a different local artist each month. Admission to the gallery is always free and open to the public. LAA also has a gift shop, full of hand made items, including jewelry, pottery, greeting cards, soaps, and much more.
Lakeland offers many workshops each year, teaching a variety of art forms to the public. We also give away a yearly scholarship to a high school senior who plans to pursue art in college. LAA hosts a tent each summer at the Winona Lake Art Festival, providing free art activities for children.
The services we perform are so valuable to our community. Creating and appreciating Original Art enriches our lives in countless ways. Lakeland helps promote Art and Culture in our community, as well as provides a venue for local artists to make their works available to the public.
All of our gallery docents and board members work on a volunteer basis. They run the gallery for no compensation other than the satisfaction it brings to see others appreciate the Arts, and because they understand how important our services are.
Unfortunately, these services come at a cost to us. Rent, utilities, and many other expenses are a continual concern for our organization. Donations and Grants carry us through each fiscal year. Any support you offer will be helpful, and so appreciated.
