Napoli's Pizza Shelby rebuild

$10,555 of $15,000 goal

Diana DeLauder  SHELBY, OH
The building that Beardie has been in for almost 35 years has suffered damage over the years from floods and now the foundation is deteriorating and he must immediately close and the structure will be demolished.  Because he is in the flood zone, insurance won't help with expenses. The two tone brick building by the Blackfork is not only home to Napolis pizza, but also is his home as he lives in the second floor apartment. This is just a fraction of what he will need to reopen but it reassures Greg Beard that he is important to Shelby Ohio.

So as you can see we hit the original goal of $10K obviously this will be just a portion of what it takes to get Beardie up and running again. Many have questions concerning insurance and new store. When things are set they will all be answered. For now, please know that Beardie is very overwhelmed with the generosity of the Shelby community. You can still give here or through the account set up at Civista Bank in Shelby (Gregory Beard benefit)

You will stay in our towns thoughts and prayers, awesome people and awesome pizza. My kids love it. You WILL reopen and be even better than ever. Better be very overstocked when you do because most of Shelby will probably be there lol. Don't be afraid to ever ask for help. It seems the whole town loves you guys.

Judy, when you live in the flood zone there is no insurance that helps any of us. Its a choice we've made and its in Gods hands. If we flood insurance does not cover us. Only in fire and tornadoes do we get any help. I've been very lucky!

It is rare for insurance companies to cover any business or residential in a floodplain. With the damage being due to multiple floods, highly unlikely they will cover a penny.

Even down here in Atlanta there are those who aren't ready to live in a world without Napoli's Pizza. I insist on having a sub the next time I visit!
