Tag's Final Days
Donation protected
This past weekend, what I assumed would be a routine vet visit turned tragic, as the doctor found a mass under his tongue. The vet has performed a biopsy and we should have the results by the end of the week, but the vet stated that from what he observed during the procedure, the likelihood is that it's cancer, and it is not a good candidate for surgery. This type of cancer isn't responsive to chemo or radiation therapy, either, so the upcoming weeks will be about making him comfortable until it's time today goodbye.
Most of you know that I said goodbye to his brother at the beginning of January, and have been trying to get Tag's diabtes under control since then. I have pet insurance, but as we all know it doesn't cover everything. After two years of dealing with diabetes, heart disease, and now two cancers, I'm a bit over my head. Any funds you can donate will help, not only Tag but myself and my peace of mind.*
He's been with me 9 years as of April, and we've experienced a lot of life together. The pain of having to let him go so soon after his brother is unreal, so not having to worry about leftover costs will be amazing. Tag loved people, and many of you. I know if he could form complete sentences in that tiny, feline brain he'd be saying, "Thank you....now where's my tuna, b*tch?"
NOTE: If anything changes, like if by some miracle the biopsy results are unexpected, or if costs change, I will let you know immediately and update things here.
*For those who donate and would like it, I'll be saving all receipts so you can have all the details as to where your donation is going.
