My name is Kyle, and I am an 18 year old Transgender male. You're probably wondering how I got here.... *record scratch*. Well, you see, the problem is I've never felt comfortable in my own skin, and I am hoping that you can help me change that.
I classify myself as an FTM transgender male , and have felt this way for a very long time. Ever since I can remember, I've always felt different. I didn't know what it was for the longest time, but as I grew older I began to understand just what it was that was different about me. I was always known as a tomboy, but I knew it was more than that. I never felt comfortable in girls clothing, especially when I hit puberty. When my physical appearance started changing it grew farther and farther away from my mental image of myself, and I didn't like that.
When I was starting 11th grade I came out to my parents, and that was when my life was changed. I began wearing male gendered clothing, and I started going by a different name. Although my friends and everyone else were accepting, my parents ...not so much. They were hesitant on trying this, because they thought it was a phase. Since then they have come to realize that this is me, and being Kyle has never made me happier.
With all of the money being raised here I am hoping to get Top surgery, in order to really help me feel and look like myself. The procedure is very costly, and unfortunately I am a broke college student with not-so-rich parents.
The costs of this procedure include:
~$5,000 in order to perform the surgery
- $225 for gas money / additional appointments
- $275 gofundme .05% fee
