Kyrgyzstan Airplane Crash 2017

Donation protected
On January 16th, 2017 a Turkish Airline Cargo Plane crashed into the small Kyrgyz village of Dacha-Su. The Boeing 747 was coming from Hong Kong going to Turkey, when they made an attempt to refuel at Manas Airport in Kyrgyzstan, and crashed likely due to fog and pilot error. So far 34 locals are confirmed dead, of which were 13 kids with the youngest being 2 years old. Approximately 30 houses in this poor village have been destroyed. The investigation is still ongoing.

My name is Valery Fedorenko. Upon hearing of this disaster, I decided to go to the scene. I don’t even know what I thought I could do, but I grew up about an hour from this place, and I just feel the situation deeply, because I know this place and I know how in need these villagers are even when things are normal. Even though I’m now an American, and have lived in the USA since 1999, my family still lives in Kyrgyzstan, and I understand the hardship this accident will bring to those who remain. It has been reported that the Kyrgyz government will only allot about $1000 USD to each family. Obviously this is not enough to even remotely rebuild or recover, so this is my attempt to reach out to you with hope to help the individuals most directly in affected with cash in their pocket. For reference, some of these people may have only made $100 per month. Many raise and trade sheep for food and supplies, and built their houses themselves with hand made mud bricks. Some may even live in old shipping containers.

The search for victims still continues, as it is very difficult to know how many lived in these homes. One story tells of a 3rd grader who was in school when the crash happened, but lost his entire family and home. It is my wish to do something small for these people once the fires subside and the dust settles. I plan to give any dollars raised to the victims I choose through personal investigation. I do not know any of the victims personally, and minus fees and expenses, I plan to give everything raised in the form of Kyrgyz Som directly to the people most in need.

Fine Print - GoFundMe requires these fundraisers give some details so you fully understand how and where your money is going to be used. I am Valery Fedorenko. I live in Cincinnati Ohio USA since 1999, but this disaster took place in Kyrgyzstan about an hour from my birthplace. I am currently in Kyrgyzstan, but I will deposit all the funds raised to my business bank account of World Kettlebell, LLC. I do not know personally anyone that I will eventually givethis money to. I will choose based on my personal feeling who deserves this money, and it will be someone or someones that had direct damage to their home(s) in the 747 Airplane crash of 2017 in Kyrgyzstan. I will deposit this money in my business account, and after fees and expenses, I will convert USD to Kyrgyz money called SOM and give this cash directly so no corrupt government hands get at it. The funds will be spent for the victims that remain to rebuild their life afer losing family and/or house as a result of the accident.
