Kyler Ryan Frost's medical expenses
Donation protected
About two months ago, right in the middle of the fall baseball season, Kyler started complaining of pain in the back of his knee. He never asked to miss a practice or a game, but it eventually became too much for him to bare after about 3 weeks so his parents decided to take him to the doctor. (Why wait so long? He often times never mentioned it or showed that it hurt. Everyone was pretty much in agreement that it was a mild sprain and an ACE bandage did seem to help.) The x-ray results from the doctor caught everyone by surprise, and showed that he had been in fact getting around with a fractured femur. After 3-4 weeks and a leg brace later they returned to doctor to see if it had healed. It had, but he was now complaining of other random leg pains around his ankles and shins. More x-rays revealed multiple other fractures that had already healed, but raised concern so blood work was ordered. At this point he had also begun to show obvious signs of fatigue and lack of appetite. The parents knew there was an issue but their minds never ventured into the territory of cancer. The first round of blood work did not reveal any cancer, and for a few days they were relieved, but the next round came back positve for Luekemia. Kyler had gone from 100 miles an hour, non-stop to taking frequent naps and barely eating in just a matter of weeks. It all happened so fast it didnt seem real to them but subsequent tests revealed it was in fact Type-B Standard Risk ALL Luekemia. This is the most responsive to treatment and also has the highest success rate but it is still nonetheless Luekemia...cancer. I started this campaign to help Kyler and his parents with the expensive medical costs and lost wages from time away from work. Please keep Kyler in your prayers, and if you feel compelled please donate. Every little bit will help!
