On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Kyle Nuetzel was in a car accident.  Found unconscious, he was rescued by paramedics and firefighters, the profession he was pursuing. Since childhood, Kyle has dreamed of being a paramedic firefighter fulfilling his deep desire to serve others.

At 9 pm, his mother received the call that every parent fears.

Once at the emergency room, his mother was ushered into a room filled with strangers all passionately working to save her baby. A parents' worst nightmare-- watching helplessly from the edge, unable to protect her child, unable to hold him in her arms and take all the pain away.

Now intubated as a precaution, Kyle was moved to the Neuro Trauma Unit while that same nightmare was already creeping up on Kyle's father, brother, girlfriend and best friends.  Within 24 hours, Kyle's family and friends, anxiously awaiting any good news, received the devastating  MRI report confirming the suspected diagnosis of  Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI.)

There is a long road ahead for Kyle and for his family, friends and caregivers.  A road that will be filled with tears of joy and sorrow. Sadly, that road of recovery, too often traversed by others, is infamous for its financial stresses. Stresses that have the potential to hinder caregivers and halt access to the best medical treatments.

If the nightmare of seeing a loved one suffering isn't enough to crush a spirit, we all know  or have heard how the financial stresses will, or how those stresses plague victims for years and years to come. Everyone deserves the best care. Together we can make this possible for Kyle. Together we can make it possible for his caregivers to focus on Kyle's physical, emotional, and mental healing.

Being an adult, Kyle is financially responsible for all  bills incurred for his treatments.  Kyle was embarking on a career to serve others and that career had not yet had the opportunity to blossom. Most importantly, Kyle needs our prayers but he needs our financial help too. Please help Kyle through this now so that one day he will fulfill his dream to serve others.
