Kyle's Medical Fund

As most of you know, Kyle was hospitalized last week with a raging infection. A cyst had abscessed in his scrotum and the infection had left him sick, swollen, and weak. While in the hospital his labs showed that he also had Type 2 Diabetes. They explained that while diabetes wasn't the cause of the cyst, it was the reason the infection was so out of control and that healing and getting healthy was going to be a long slow journey. While in the hospital Kyle was placed on IV antibiotics, pain meds, and insulin. In addition, his blood glucose levels were tested regularly and he was placed on daily injections of  Heparin
, to help thin his blood and prevent clotting. Once his number started coming down, his infection started to get better as well. After almost a week in the hospital Kyle was finally released. He still has a lot of healing and adjusting to do. The infection and swelling are still there, but we are noticing improvement daily. He is on a handful of medication still and will remain on diabetes meds indefinitely. With that being said, his real fight will be now is overcoming his diabetes. He has a very strict low carb diet that he has to follow and he has to learn to stick himself and monitor his own bg levels multiple times daily. He's trying to stay positive (he's positive he hates the diet ), but the cost of all of this is what is weighing on his mind the most, and that's not what's best for his healing right now.
You see, Kyle had only been at his new (amazing) job for only a week when this happened. His employer has been very gracious during all of this and his job is not in jeopardy, but his insurance won't kick in for almost 90 days! Concentrating on getting well isn't so easy when al you can think about are the bills that need to be paid. His physician wants him to stay out of work until July 3rd, which means no incoming cash flow. That's where we hope all of you guys will help. His meds are going to cost about $500.00!( The first 30 days has been taken care of by his parents), he has a car payment due the 12th of July that is $350, and his utility bills have started coming in. Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated and most definitely used for the above listed bills. He's embarrassed and humbled to even have to ask. You know if $$ was an issue before, he would just hustle some extra hours at work or take a side job bartending or bouncing, but those possibilities are just not doable right now. He really does need your help...
