Kyle & Nicole: Hoping for a Family

Donation protected
Have you ever wanted something so bad but couldn't afford it at the time? There are lots of things I've wanted, stressed for a couple days about it and then let it go. Infertility is not one of those things that is easily forgotten.   We have been struggling with infertility for 3 and a half years.  I have woken up everyday for 1335 days wanting to start a family above anything else.  Over the last year we have had many medical costs that have put a lot of stress on us.  We are now wanting to start our IVF journey but due to past medical bills we are really needing help.  Asking for help is one of the hardest things we have ever had to do.

The one thing in life Nicole has always wanted was to start a family of her own.  Post college graduation she even volunteered 1400 hours to Americorps Kids First Initiative to help children in need.  In 2010 Kyle and Nicole began their relationship and both knew they would be a happy family one day.  In 2013 Nicole went to her annual exam and was told everything was normal.  6 months later the clinic called to say she never came back to have the abnormal cells tested.  They never told her that there was anything wrong!  She went back and was told that she had precancerous cells.  They did two procedures and she was then told that the precancerous cells had spread and she would need a hysterectomy.  They told Nicole this over the PHONE, while she was at work.   This was the most heartbreaking news she could ever expect to hear at the age of 26 years old.

At this time we were in process of moving.  Luckily we got a second opinion and a hysterectomy was not needed!

We married in 2014 and started trying right away!  After a year of trying we discovered that those 2 procedures that were done in 2013 had caused a TON of scar tissue which may be preventing us from conceiving.  Why is this happening to us?  Why can't this be easy for us like it seems to be for so many?  Over the past year we have done IUI 3 times in which none resulted in a pregnancy.  In October Nicole had surgery which will help with the chances of conceiving through IVF.  The costs of IVF can cost over $30,000.  If you are able to help we would be forever grateful.  Every dollar counts and if you cannot help with money, kind and encouraging words also go along way.  This can be a very lonely process but having your support makes things a little better!
