Kyla's Journey #LCA4K

Kyla Smith Howell is a 5th Grader here at the Mozart Elementary. She is by far one of the sweetest and most brave young ladies that this world has to offer. For some time now, Kyla has been on a journey of her own that not too many people know about. She has been battling both Liver Disease & Liver Cancer, among other things. Because Kyla's condition is rare in children, she is unable to undergo treatment such as radiation or chemotherapy. Therefore, because of this, Kyla is on the wait list to receive a new liver via transplant. Kyla has also recently been nominated for the "Make A Wish" foundation.

To help Kyla on her journey, the Mozart Parent Council is raising funds to assist her and her family in covering the costs associated with her care. To learn more and to follow updates associated with Kyla, please follow "Kyla Journey" on Facebook.

In addition to raising funds, it is also very important to Kyla to bring awareness to Liver Disease in Kids, hence the creation of the hashtag, #LCA4K. Please use this hashtag on any of your social media accounts when posting your wishes to Kyla. This will help to ensure that Kyla will see those well wishes!
