Kyara’s Medical Cost

On November 5th, my 10 year old sister, Kyara, was hit by a truck on her way to school. She is the youngest of our family and it truly is difficult to deal with. She loved making Tik-Toks, drawing and painting, and just being happy in general all the time. Through our home she always had so much energy and was always laughing with her friends. I was the first one to find her like that on the ground and it’s taking its toll on me. I can not compare what I’m going through with what my parents are going through. Their love is much greater than mine for Kyara but his love is much greater than anyone else’s and I know he’s got big plans for her which is why this rests in his hands and why we leave it to him. She has 6 facial fractures, some skull fractures, a broken jaw, brain swelling, spleen removal because of uncontrollable bleeding, right femur is fractured, right ankle is fractured, and road rash on all of her limbs. Apart from these surgeries, she may need physical therapy but we won’t know exactly how severe the damage may be to her everyday actions when she recovers. No 10 year old should ever have to go through something like this. To my parents and to myself, it means more than anyone could even imagine how much support our church community has shown us. Anything is appreciated dearly and my family thanks all of the ones who have prayed for her healing and for her recovery.
