Makayla's first time putting on the Esight glasses when we first got them in the mail for her trial period! :)

Makayla was born 4 months premature and as a result she developed ROP(retinopathy of prematurity). At the age of 1, she developed a cataract in her right eye and had to have the lens removed. In the past year, she has developed another cataract in her only good eye (as it continues to grow, she will have to have the lens removed). Not having the lens has left her blind in her right eye and her left eye is legally blind (20/400). Due to the size and shape of her eyes, she is not eligible for a lens transplant (IOL).
After doing a trial with the Esight glasses, we found that Makayla was able to see things that she never before has been able to see. She was able to see the stars, the moon and the firework show on the 4th of July.
Makayla absolutely fell in love with these glasses when she put them on and started the training courses they offered during the trial as she was able to see a few of the MANY things these glasses can do for her!
We are asking for help raising the money for these glasses because they cost around $10,000 and insurance does not cover the cost of the Esight glasses.
