Kw’Shawn is 8years old- originally diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumor in he did 36 weeks of chemo last year & in January of 2019 he has his port removed and starting to feel like a “normal” kid again. Unfortunately in March of 2019 at his scans we noticed the cancer had returned. Kw’Shawn has had several surgeries, including having a kidney removed. He is taken care of by his single mom, who also has a 3yo daughter. During this time she had to stop working and going to school to solely care for Kw’Shawn meanwhile little sister takes turns going back and forth from her grandparents and visits to Memphis when she able. Through it all Kw’Shawn keeps a smile on his face - he enjoys eating ribs while doing chemo therapy although here lately the sickness has gotten worse he puts on his superhero outfit and remains positive.
