Hi Everyone,
On 5/25, my nephew Kurtis Burkett was in a car accident and suffered multiple injuries. He will have a rod put into his right leg and another one in his right arm. He is also recovering from broken wrists, a bruise to his lung and some bruising to his brain which he is expected to make a full recovery from.
Kurtis is an active guy, just starting his adult life. He graduated high school earlier this month and had plans to enter seminary as he answers a calling to be a pastor. From his dad, "Kurtis is attending Gethsemane Bible College in Walnut Ridge, AR. He is a God called preacher and surrendered to preach two summers ago at a Revival in Walnut Ridge." He has a strong desire to serve God and is a loving and giving young man with a lot of heart.
His parents Kady and Chris told me he is aware of what has happened to him and has good spirits even though he is currently in a lot of pain. We know his positive attitude and faith will carry him through and help him heal. The funds provided through this campaign will help with medical bills, any adjustments to the house that need to be made to help Kurtis navigate his home while recovering, help with day to day expenses for Kady and Chris while they attend to Kurtis in the hospital and help Kurtis keep an eye on his dreams to fulfill his promise of becoming a preacher.
