HELP MICHAEL FIGHT CANCER

Meet Michael, a 19 year old local Whyalla boy. Michael is quite popular throughout the community and always has a smile.
However, recently Michael was faced with life’s greatest challenge- he was told he has cancer.
Michael has an aggressive form of cancer in his left thigh. He will need to have 96 hours of chemo (4 days straight) every 3 weeks to try to shrink it. The cancer is now too large to operate on.
Unfortunately, if the cancer has not shrunk in 4 months time, chemo will be reduced to try to prolong Michael’s life.
While undergoing chemo, Micheal will experience either liver, kidney or heart failure, this is inevitable.
Michael will be required to live in a sterile environment. Even something as simple as a pimple, a common cold or scratch to the skin could harm him.
If in time the cancer can be operated on, nearly all of Micheal’s left thigh muscle will need to be removed. This means his left leg will be virtually useless. During this time, Michael would need to receive radiation therapy.
As you can appreciate, current expenses are huge for Michael and his family. Michael’s mother Tarnya is supporting him through this time. However, Tarnya works a casual job meaning that if she doesn’t work any hours, she doesn’t receive a pay. This has put even further hardship on the family to pay general living expenses, such as their rent.
