Hi Everyone,
I'm writing this GoFundMe in support of my best friend, and side kick Shane the Dog. In 2016 he was diagnosed with some unknown autoimmune disease; he's been doing great, and I even felt like he was stabilizing.. But then he started grunting, every night very intensely. I brought him to his vet and after some blood work, he's been diagnosed with pancreatitis, in this time period he has also been very intensely wheezing and trying to catch his breath. His doctor wanted to make double sure there wasn't any abnormalities in his pancreas, as well as have a look around. I get the official results tomorrow and will post an update, but as of now, just from the vets glance, his pancreas looks okay, but he has a mass in his spleen. They took a look up by his diaphragm since they noticed something strange, and saw that his heart was not functioning properly- this whole area including his lungs needs a further examination by a cardiologist, including chest x-rays.
He is not doing well right now, and I have no idea if he is going to be okay or not.. it doesn't seem promising, but I'm not giving up on him. I'm running out of money for all of these tests, but he needs them to figure out what's wrong before it's too late. I'm hoping to get him into the cardiologist before his heart gets the best of him. His appointment for the cardiologist is for Tuesday & he's also going on Monday to his vet for his chest Xray. Between all his normal medicines, his antibiotics, the sonogram and these two tests it's over a thousand dollars that I do not have; roughly 1500$. I'm setting this goal at $2,000 as I know there will be more associated expenses, once we know what's going on. If the donations exceed my goal, everything will be used on his health and hopeful recovery.
