Adrian & Angelica’s Story
Welcome to our GoFundMe site, My name is Vanessa and I am creating this page for my brother and his young family. If you are reading this, chances are you have had the chance to meet Adrian. He is the type of person who brings light into the lives of anyone whom crosses his path. He is a giving, honest, hardworking and genuinely loving person. Adrian has a beautiful young family, his wife Angelica, his first daughter Annabelle 3 yrs old, and their new addition Allison, born this past February 6th. Their entire world was turned upside down when Angelica was attacked by a rare virus, after giving birth to Allison. One of the most felt symptoms of the virus is encephalitis, swelling of the brain. Angelica is fighting to recover and overcome the loss of her short term memory, speech, a loss of mobility, risk of seizure, and the general ability to care for herself. My brother has spent day & night at Illinois Masonic hospital to be by his wife's and baby Allison's side as they are undergoing antiviral treatment and observation. Please pray for their progress, comfort, and for strength as this will be a long road to recovery. Angelica will require 24 hour care, medical equpment and ongoing therapy. Baby Allison will also require ongoing medication. Adrian is now working to find a balance as the sole provider for this young family, his wife's care taker,and father to his beautiful toddler and new-born girls. Although life has changed for them in an irrevocable way, the pure love they share will carry them through.
