Team Kryptonite Travel Fund

Team Kryptonite is the Colorado State Championship Excellence Award winner! 

This means the team has qualified to compete at the World’s Championship in April against 399 other middle school teams from around the globe! Please help us get there by donating to our travel fund. We need money to cover flights, lodging, and expenses of transporting the robot and gear. Our team has four student members and 2 coaches. 

Team Kryptonite is a VEX IQ middle school robotics team from Berthoud, CO.

What is VEX IQ Robotics? 
- VEX IQ is a snap together robotics system that can be used educationally or  competitively.
- VEX IQ encourages & develops creative problem solving, team work, leadership & social skills, while simultaneously asking students to rely upon independent design to solve a central challenge. 
- The competitive side of VEX IQ robotics is supported through the REC Foundation with    elementary and middle school teams from all over the world. 
- To compete each team must design, build, and program a robot to meet that season’s challenge. There are 4 areas of competition: teamwork driving, autonomous programming challenge, individual skills  driving, and a STEM research project & presentation.

Our team took home the Excellence Award at the CO State Championship for strong performance in all areas.  

During the season we also were earned: 
 - STEM Research/Presentation Award
 - Design Award
 - The Create Award
 - Build Award
 - Sportsmanship Award
and 
 - We earned the title of Teamwork Champions with our alliance partners, the Tigerhawks from Erie at the Flagstaff Tournament.

We have spent a lot of time trying to do better in all areas of the competition at each tournament we attend. We are really excited to see what we can do at the World's Championship as we have been redesigning our robot to increase scoring efficiency while completing additonal research for our STEM project.
